FormedIn

Terms of Use

Effective date: July 12, 2026

Acceptance

By using FormedIn (formed-in.com, the "Site"), you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Site.

Educational purpose — no professional advice

The Site provides general educational information about business formation costs and processes, including calculators that perform arithmetic on published fee data. Nothing on the Site is legal, tax, accounting, investment, or other professional advice; nothing recommends any entity type, formation state, or course of action for your specific situation; and nothing creates any attorney-client, accountant-client, or other professional relationship. Decisions about forming or operating a business should be made with a qualified, licensed professional.

No warranty of accuracy

Government fees, taxes, deadlines, forms, and processing times change frequently and without notice. While we document sources and verification dates for our data, the Site is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, completeness, currentness, merchantability, or fitness for a particular purpose. Calculator outputs are estimates built from recorded data and stated assumptions — they are not quotes, filings, or guarantees of what any agency will charge you.

Your responsibility

You are responsible for confirming current requirements, fees, and deadlines with the relevant government agency or a qualified professional before acting. Links to official state sources are provided on every state page for exactly this purpose.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, FormedIn and its operator will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, business, or data, arising from your use of or inability to use the Site or its content — including reliance on any figure, deadline, or description that proves inaccurate or out of date. To the extent liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid to use the Site (the Site is free, so: nothing).

External links

The Site links to government websites and third-party sources. We don't control them, don't endorse them beyond citing them as sources, and aren't responsible for their content or practices.

Intellectual property

The Site's original content — text, design, data organization, and code — belongs to the Site's operator. Government fee amounts and statutes are public information; our compilation, presentation, and commentary are not. You may quote brief excerpts with attribution and a link. You may not scrape, republish, or redistribute substantial portions of the Site's content or data without permission.

Acceptable use

Don't use the Site in ways that damage or overload it, circumvent security, misrepresent its content as an official government resource, or violate applicable law. Automated access that respects robots.txt and reasonable rates is fine.

Changes

We may update these terms as the Site evolves; the effective date above will change when we do. Continued use after changes means acceptance. Questions? Use the contact page.
